Since 2008, SaskPower has entrusted Summerhill in bringing energy efficiency programming to Saskatchewan residents. Through programs, Summerhill has successfully assisted SaskPower in achieving significant energy reduction targets, while increasing customer interaction and satisfaction. The relationship between SaskPower and Summerhill continues to grow and strengthen with a Regina office being established in 2009 and programming reaching into the commercial sector in 2011. Together, the partnership has successfully assisted SaskPower in reaching customers province wide and meeting energy savings targets.
Client Needs:
- To leverage external expertise in designing and executing cost-effective energy efficiency programming for residential and commercial customers province wide

Summerhill's Approach:
- Hired local staff and facilitated partnerships with stakeholders to combine Summerhill’s national expertise with local (on the ground) expertise
- Established framework to identify and evaluate the most cost effective and unique opportunities to achieve targets – leveraging Summerhill’s national best practices
Results:
- Successfully engaged SaskPower customers province wide through programming since 2008
- Partnered with local retail stores in almost a hundred different communities province wide to date
- Assisted SaskPower in achieving significant energy savings
- Established a local Regina office and created over 20 full-time jobs and over 200 part time positions through programming to date
