Summerhill Carbon Offset Projects

Summerhill Carbon’s portfolio consists of a mix of projects that would not otherwise be possible without carbon credit financing. We focus on sourcing projects that prevent new GHG emissions from being released into the atmosphere. Priority is given to renewable energy and fuel switching or energy efficiency projects. Our Canadian-based approach also gives priority to locally-initiated and socially responsible projects, allowing partners to stay connected to reducing our national carbon footprint.

In order to achieve and maintain high quality standards for all of its offset projects, Summerhill Carbon relies on independent verification, and registration in an offset registry. All domestic offset projects/programs are verified according to ISO 14064 standards.

Projects In Development

Summerhill Offsets strives to be a catalyst for various organizations across Canada to develop GHG reduction programs. Through project initiation activities and support, we assist both partners and affiliate organizations in developing promising projects.

Currently, Summerhill Carbon has a number of project initiatives under development. We are exploring an innovative transportation fuel reduction project, a community-based biomass fuel switching project, and new biomass projects in Quebec and BC.
