Toronto Hydro
Working with Toronto Hydro-Electric System since 2005, Summerhill has helped create and deliver some of the most dynamic, successful, and engaging retail-based conservation programs in Canada. These timed campaigns have been instrumental in helping Toronto Hydro meet their residential conservation demand management (CDM) targets while creating buzz and awareness to drive considerable traffic and sales at retail locations.
On behalf of Toronto Hydro, Summerhill developed and implemented programs such as Bright Ideas (2005 & 2006), Take A Load Off Toronto, Spring Turn On, Keep Cool, and peaksaver. Collectively, these campaigns have resulted in:
- Over 50 MW of peak demand savings
- More than 34,000 holiday light strings collected
- 75,000 clotheslines distributed
- 354,000 CFLs given away
- More than 42,000 room air conditioners recycled
- Over 3,500 peaksaver sign-ups
- Thousands of energy efficient products sold
