Summerhill Foundation is committed to fostering environmental leadership and positive long-term change by supporting continual improvement and learning.

Our education and outreach initiatives:

• Provide Canadians with the information they need to allow them to substantially reduce or eliminate their greenhouse gas emissions
• Nurture and train a new generation of environmental leaders through internships and workshops
• Encourage excellence in environmental studies by providing bursaries and awards to students
• Conduct research and disseminate results on topics related to environmental sustainability and better consumer choices

Scholarships

With the generous support of the Ontario Automotive Recyclers Association, the Summerhill Foundation has established a $40,000 endowed scholarship at the University of Waterloo, Faculty of Environment. Funds have been matched by the Ontario Trust for Student Support (OTSS).

Research

The Summerhill Foundation undertakes and supports research projects in the sustainable management of water, energy and toxins. We work in close consultation with experts and stakeholders in relevant fields.
