Summerhill Group was approached by The Home Depot to develop a national customer engagement program that would highlight The Home Depot's commitment to environmental issues, promote The Home Depot's Eco-Options brand and increase customer traffic and sales.
Delivery:
Summerhill Group delivered The Holiday Light Exchange. The light exchange took place at all Canadian Home Depot’s and gave customers the opportunity to exchange their old energy inefficient incandescent light strings for a discount on seasonal LED light strings that are 95% more energy efficient. Summerhill Group responsibly recycled the old light strings. In store events were facilitated by 550+ Summerhill Group trained representatives, who engaged customers and educated them about their choice of energy efficient products. The 2007 Holiday Exchange collected 117,000 strings doubling expected response rates. In 2008, another 162,000 strings were collected, and over delivered on the target by 40%.
